Our more established social media account, East County Leadership Council on Facebook, is a great place to see the fun we had pre-COVID. You will find pictures, as well as full-length video, of one of our forums. We had democratic, republican and DTS (Decline To State a party affiliation) councilmembers (that’s not bi-partisan; that’s multi-partisan) in attendance, as well as school board members, water board members, community leaders, and let’s not forget, wonderful newbies just getting their feet wet!
As we discussed local issues affecting several different government jurisdictions, many of the questions and comments split down the middle, with half republicans support, half democrats support, and vice-versa. Refreshing! Shocking! But as Tip O’Neill taught America, “All politics is local.”

We are just getting started with Instagram, but there are a couple cool sports pictures, both professional and high school level, as well as womens team and mens team.

And of course, where all political decisions are announced, you can find us at East County Leadership Council (ECLC) (@ECLeadership1) on Twitter. Thus far, we have focused on sharing news stories and retweeting other organizations’ stories that affect young people. A common theme is information on jobs, and other opportunities, such as trainings, as well as inspirational stories to inspire one of any age!
